This is a new upgraded version of the full metal early version of German RC tank -Tiger I. The Taigen RC tanks are of the highest quality and are brand new to the market. What sets them apart from other tanks is the high level of detail and the strong metal components like gearbox, drive wheels, turret, barel and many more. The next great thing apart from its looks is the brand new radio equipment. This deadly machine comes with 2.4GHz transmitter receiver kit featuring many improvements compared to the old crystal based systems like extended range, no interference from fellow enthusiasts and precision steering. From now on you can have epic battles with as many radio controlled tanks as you wish.
The next very cool feature is the sound on this machine, the sound generator has 2 channels and can play 2 sounds simultaneously - in short you will hear the gun firing over the soundtrack of the engine adding to the authenticity of the model. Taigen tanks are available in different configurations but the ones we sell are the highest configuration with every possible option and upgrade included.
This beautifully made Tiger tank comes hand painted grey weathered finish and looks amazing. The attention to detail is stunning and not only is this a fully working model with sound effects, smoke and the ability to fire BBs, but it is sufficiently detailed to be used purely for display. Almost all of the components and features of this tank are made of metal, improving durability and realistic feel and appearance to your model. We think the pictures speak for themselves!
The pull ropes are made from real metal cable and have been carefully coloured to give a feel of authenticity. The caterpillar tracks are scaled down versions of what you would get on the real thing, fully metallic linkages that will form to the terrain and any obstacles in the tank's path. When you pick this tank up, everything about it says quality, for a start this is a faiirly hefty model, it feels robust, it feels right, you could say it's built like a tank!
So why not treat yourself to a piece of military history that's not only great to look at, but will give hours of fun as it growls and smokes its way around your garden or park, and where safe to do so can fire BBs at the target (included in the box) with a realistic recoiling action. RC tanks don't really come better than this!

I'm considering the Taigen Tiger 1 early version with the full metal upgrade. I'm still a little confused as to what exactly is fitted with regards to the recoil mechanisms. Ive seen so many different versions on youtube. for example, where the entire tank body recoils, where the barrel of the gun and tank body recoil and ones where only the gun barrel recoils. I'm looking for the most realistic option preferably with the barrel and a small amount of chassis recoil. Which does this model have. Thanks in advance.

This tank does not have a dedicated recoiling turret. Only the overall tank recoil.

Hi, this one has special painting, metal turret with metal gun barrel and muzzle, metal track, metal drive wheel and
idle wheel, metal gearset (4 in 1 zinc gear with bearing), shock absorber, metal network, painted commander, metal pull rope, strength part for tank chassis, metal part for view, metal armor, metal turrent cover, shoulder wheel, metal tank chassis, metal front and rear hook, metal machine gun light, metal front forward light and hobby upper hull. Only the drive wheel, idle wheel and shoulder wheel are metal, the others are plastic.

Hi, the range is around 25M. They are not fast as they are not built for speed. I don't have the exact figure but around 1-2 mph. Best thing would be to look on youtube for "taigen tank" and you will see some going.

Shipping and customs are expensive for Norwegians.
Selected Nitrotek since I have read that they have good customer service and that they sell the Tigen brand.
Out of photos it's not easy to judge how nice the tank is, so I hoped it was great especially considering the total price.
The tank is absolutely beautiful, heavy and feels like it's good quality to.
Nitrotek was shipping fast and it was a trouble free trade.
All I have to put my finger on is the front-mounted spare belt that is painted plastic
But spare metal belts are on the way

By Andy November 03, 2016This arrived today and the much anticipated box opening took place.. On initial inspection the build quality not quite what I expected as far as metal parts, but good nonetheless. The instructions are not particularly detailed as to opening the thing to place the battery in position. Namely its not just a question of sliding the lever near the mudflap and lifting. You also have to disconnect the plastic pipes to the other exhaust parts. Also once the lid was open I found a small 2 pin connector adrift, with only one location it would possibly go, but the plug was too big. having seen a video of one of these open, I knew it was correct, but the only way to fit it was to shave a certain amount off all 4 sides of the plug..no mean feat with a nail file.. On further investigation it is apparently for a rear light that you can fit.. Overall though immensely pleased and would recommend..
